Bill Bain Honored at Fremont City Meeting

At the monthly Fremont town hall meeting yesterday, May 12th, 2026, Mayor Raj Salwan offered a tribute to Bill Bain, who passed away on April 26, 2026, and adjourned the meeting in his honor.

Bill served on the Citizens Advisory Committee since 2021, including time as both chair and vice chair. Through his work on the Community Development Block Grant process, he helped direct millions of dollars toward programs serving Fremont residents in need. He also volunteered directly with programs supporting those experiencing homelessness.

We are grateful that Mayor Salwan took a moment to recognize Bill’s dedication to his community. His service made a real difference in people’s lives — and that work will carry on.
